Town Records <br />TOWN WARRANT <br />COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS, MIDDLESEX, SS. <br />To EITHER OF THE CONSTABLES OF THE TOWN of LEXINGTON, IN <br />SAID COUNTY, GREETING : <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are <br />directed to notify the inhabitants of the town of Lexington qualified <br />to vote in elections and in town affairs, to meet at the Town Hall <br />in said Lexington on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 1911, at 7.30 p. m., then <br />and there to act on the following articles: — <br />ARTICLE 1. To choose a moderator to preside in said meeting. <br />ART. 2. To hear and act upon the report of any committee <br />ready to report, or appoint other committees. <br />ART. 3. To see if the town will accept a new street called Edge - <br />wood road, leading from Hancock street to Merriam street, or act <br />in any manner thereto. <br />ART. 4. To see if the town will appoint a committee to consider <br />the location and cost of a swimming pool, and appropriate a small <br />amount of money to cover the cost of preliminary surveys and speci- <br />fications, and take action thereon. <br />ART. 5. To rescind a vote passed June 8, 1891, when the legacy <br />of Eleanor 5. Beals was accepted, or act in any manner relating" <br />thereto. <br />11 <br />ART. 6. To see if the town will authorize the Town Treasurer, <br />under the direction of the Selectmen, to borrow money for any <br />necessary purpose in anticipation of taxes for the year 1911, the <br />same to be repaid directly from the proceeds of said taxes. <br />ART. 7. To see if the town will rescind, alter, or amend in any <br />way the vote passed Nov. 2nd, 1875, relative to the depositing of <br />money with the Town Treasurer in trust to provide for care of ceme- <br />tery lots; and to take any other or further action relating to ceme- <br />tery trust funds. <br />ART. 8. To see if the town will make an appropriation for <br />the suppression of gypsy and brown tail moths, in accordance with <br />Chapter 381, Acts of 1905, and amendments to same, or act in any <br />manner relating thereto. <br />ART. 9. To see if the town will make an appropriation or appro- <br />priations for the extension of water mains, and vote to borrow, on <br />the note or notes of the town, all or any of the money so appropri- <br />ated; and to take such further or other action relative to extending <br />water pipes and providing funds therefor as may be deemed best. <br />ART. 10. To see if the town will make an appropriation for the <br />use of the Board of Water and Sewer Commissioners in connection <br />with investigations and surveys relative to contemplated drainage <br />and sewerage, and vote to borrow on the note of the town all or any <br />of the money so appropriated. <br />Hereof fail not, and make due return of this Warrant, with your <br />doings thereon, to the Town Clerk on or before the time of said <br />meeting. <br />Given under our hands, at Lexington, this fourth day of January, <br />A.
