<br />On motion of Alonzo E. Locke, Chairman of the Finance Com-
<br />mittee, the following votes were passed
<br />ART. 7. Voted, That the sum of $200 be appropriated and
<br />assessed for the proper observance of Memorial Day, to be expended
<br />under the direction of Post 119, G. A. R.
<br />ART. 8. Voted, That the sum of $35,000 be appropriated and
<br />assessed for the support of the Public Schools for the ensuing year.
<br />ART. 9. Voted, That the sum of $1500 be appropriated and
<br />assessed for the support of the poor at the Poor Farm for the ensuing
<br />year.
<br />ART. 10. Voted, That the sum of $1200 be appropriated and
<br />assessed for the support of outside poor for the ensuing year.
<br />ART. 14. Voted, That the following amounts be appropriated

<br />ART. 15. Voted, That on all taxes for 1909 paid before Dec-
<br />ember 1, 1909, a discount of 4 of 1% shall be allowed for each full
<br />month for prior payments; taxes unpaid December 1 shall be char-
<br />ged 6% per annum interest thereafter and all taxes shall become
<br />due December 31, 1909, and the Tax Collector he instructed to
<br />collect all taxes by that date.
<br />ART. 16. Voted, That the sum of $1000 be appropriated and
<br />.assessed for the construction of sidewalks of concrete or other
<br />materials where the abuttors will pay one-half of the expense
<br />therefor.
<br />ART. 17. Voted, That the sum of $200 be appropriated and
<br />assessed for a School Physician as required by the Public Statutes.
