r7 <br />the actual cost of procuring and installing them. The rates to be <br />paid for metered water shall, in the absence of a determination of <br />them by vote of the town, be those from time to time established by <br />the Water hoard, and the Board may deduct from the water bills of <br />one taking water through such meter two dollars a year, or at that <br />rate for Dart of a year, until the aggregate of such deductions shall <br />amount to the original cost of the installed ineter. Such meters <br />shall be kept in repair by the Water Department at the expense of <br />the owner, the cost of repairs made from time to time to be added <br />to his water hill. Each applicant for a meter shall sign an agree- <br />ment with the town to abide by the foregoing terms of this vote and <br />such other provisions not inconsistent herewith as the Water Board <br />may determine. Each application shall be accompanied by a <br />deposit of ten dollars as an advance payment on account of cost of <br />the installed meter. <br />Voted, To dissolve the meeting at 9.30 o'clock. <br />.A true record, attest : <br />GFO. WH¢ELRR, Constable of Lexington, GREETING. <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are <br />hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of <br />Lexington, qualified by law to vote in town affairs, to assemble at <br />the Town Hall, on Monday, the 4th day of March, A. D., 1907, at <br />7.00 o'clock, a. m., to act on the following articles, viz. : --- <br />l8 <br />ARrrcLa 1. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting. <br />ART. 1. "I'o choose by ballot the following town officers : One <br />Town Clerk for the tern of one year; three Selectmen for the term <br />of one year; three Overseers of the Poor for the term of one year; <br />three Surveyors of the Highways for the term of one year ; three <br />Assessors for the term of one year; on town 'Treasurer for the term <br />of one year; one Collector of 'faxes for the term of one year; two <br />Auditors for the term of one year; two Constables for the term of <br />one year ; one Water Commissioner for the term of one year; one <br />Water Commissioner for the term of three years; one member of <br />the Cemetery Committee for the term of three years; two members <br />of the School Committee for the term of three years ; one Sewer <br />Commissioner for the term of three years; one member of the <br />Board of Health for the terns of three years ; one Tree Warden for <br />the term of one year. <br />ART. 3. '1'o see if the town will vote for or against granting <br />licences for the sale of intoxicating liquors, in answer to the ques- <br />tion : "Shall licenses he granted for the sale of intoxicating liquors <br />in this town?" <br />The vote on this question shall he by ballot, Yes" or"No." <br />The election officers will receive votes under Articles '2 and :3 on <br />the official ballot prepared by the Town Clerk. <br />The polls will be opened as soon as possible after the organization <br />of the meeting and will be kept open until 5 o'clock, P. M. In <br />compliance with Article III of the By -Laws as amended by vote of <br />of the town, January 29, 1900, business under the following Articles <br />will be transacted at an adjourned meeting to be held Monday <br />evening, March 11, 1907, unless the adjourned meeting shall by <br />unanimous vote, be ordered for some other specified time. <br />ART. 4. To receive the report of any Board of Town Officers or <br />of any Committee of the town for action thereon. <br />
