Lexington Town Records <br />WARRANT FOR A TOWN MEETING. <br />FHIDAV, February 15, 1907. <br />To CHARLES E. WHEFLER, Constable of Lexington, GREETING <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are <br />hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of <br />Lexington, qualified by law to vote in 'Town affairs, to assemble at <br />the Town Hall, on Friday, the fifteenth day of February, A. D., <br />1907, at 7.30 o'clock P. M., to act on the following articles, viz:ā€” <br />ARTICLE 1. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting. <br />ART. 2. To receive the report of any board of town officers, or <br />of any committee of the town, and to act thereon. <br />ART. 3. To alter, amend or repeal any existing by-laws, rules or <br />regulations of the town relating to the Water Department; to adopt <br />a new code of by-laws relating thereto; or to act in any manner <br />with reference to the organization or business of the Water Board <br />and the Water Department. <br />ART. 4. To provide for establishing and constructing a sewerage <br />system, and to provide for the raising of funds for that purpose; <br />also to vote to issue bonds as authorized by Chapter 504 of the Acts <br />of 1897 and Chapter 359 of the Acts of 1906 amending the same; <br />and to take such further or other action relative to the introduction <br />and construction of sewers and to the providing of means with which <br />to pay therefor as may be deemed best. <br />Iā‘ <br />ART. 6. To see if the town will accept Glen Road (so called), <br />from Merriam Street to Oakland Street, or act in any, manner relat- <br />ing thereto. <br />Hereof fail not, and make due return of this Warrant, with your <br />doings thereon, to the Town Clerk on or before the time of said <br />meeting. <br />Given under our hands, at Lexington, this second day of Feb- <br />ruary, A. WOODWARD, <br />Selectmen of Lexington. <br />MEETING OF FEBRUARY 15, 1907. <br />Meeting called to order at 7.40 o'clock by the Town Clerk, who <br />read the warrant and the return of the Constable thereon. <br />ARTICLE 1. On motion of George W. Taylor it was <br />Voted, To elect a Moderator by ballot, the check list to be used <br />and the polls to be kept open three minutes. At the close of the <br />polls eight ballots had been cast all for Edwin A. Bayley and he was <br />declared elected and was sworn by the Town Clerk. <br />ART. 2. Under this article the Water Committee made the follow- <br />ing report : <br />The committee appointed to investigate the condition of the <br />Water Department made a report under date of May 21, 1906, and <br />at an adjourned town meeting, the town received the report as one <br />of progress, continued the committee in existence, adopted its <br />recommendations and at the same time authorized the Selectmen <br />"To sell all water works, buildings and machinery, including the <br />
