29 <br />This committee to report at a future town meeting. The Modera- <br />tor appointed the following committee <br />George W. 'Taylor, <br />Henry A. C. Woodward, <br />Abram C. Washburn, <br />Frank D. Peirce, <br />Edward P. Bliss, <br />Willard D. Brown, <br />Charles B. Davis. <br />ART. 19. On motion of John F. Welch it was <br />Voted, That the article he indefinitely postponed. <br />ART. 22. On notion of George H. Cutter it was <br />Voted, That the article be indefinitely postponed. <br />ART. 5. Under this article the fallowing officers were elected. <br />FENCE. VIEWERS. <br />Abram R. Smith, Johri H. Willard, S. Myron Lawrence. <br />FIELD DRIVERS. <br />Charles E. Wheeler,Frederick W. Johnson, William F. Fletcher. <br />SURVEYORS OF LUMBER. <br />George W. Spaulding, Abbott S. Mitchell. <br />ART. 25. On motion of George W. Taylor it was <br />Voted, That the sum .of $50.44 be appropriated for the purpose <br />of placing a memorial stone with a suitable inscription thereon in <br />the monument to be built at Provincetown commemorating the <br />landing of the Pilgrims and the signing of the compact in Province - <br />town harbor, this amount to be taken from the Contingent grant. <br />30 <br />ART. 26. On motion of Robert P. Clapp it was <br />Voted, That the article be laid on the table. On motion of Mr. <br />Clapp it was then voted to reconsider the above vote. Abbott S. <br />Mitchell mored that the articld be indefinitely postponed. Edward <br />P. Merriam moved as a substitute motion that the article be laid on <br />the table and Mr. Merriam's motion was declared carried. <br />On motion of George W. Taylor it was <br />Voted, To adjourn the meeting for three weeks until April 1, at <br />7.30 o'clock P. M. <br />At 9 o'clock the meeting adjourned. <br />ADJOURNF;17 MEETING APRIL, 1, 1907. <br />Meeting called to order by the Moderator at '7.35 o'clock P. M. <br />ART. 4. The Finance Committee made a verbal report recom- <br />mending that the following amounts be appropriated and assessed <br />with the exception of the amount appropriated under Article 18. <br />ART. 7. Voter, That $`200 be appropriated and assessed for the <br />observance of Memorial Day, the same to be expended tinder the <br />direction of Post 119, G. A. R. <br />ART. 8. Voted, That $31,500 be appropriated and assessed for <br />the public schools. <br />ART. 9. Voted, That 5150+.0 beappropriated and assessed for <br />the poor at the Poor Farm. <br />
