<br />Meeting called to order by the moderator at 7.35 o'clock.
<br />ARTICLE 4. On motion of George W. 'Taylor it was
<br />Voted, That Articles 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, IS and 2U
<br />be referred to a committee of twenty one to be appointed by the
<br />Moderator, such committee to include a member of the Board of
<br />Selectmen, Surveyors of Highways, Overseers of the Poor, School
<br />Committee, Assessors, Fire Engineers, Board of Health, Water
<br />Commissioners and the Treasurer. 'That said committee fully con-
<br />sider the subject of these articles and report at some adjourned
<br />meeting with such recommendations as they may deem prudent, and
<br />the moderator appointed the following committee :

<br />ART. 6. On motion of George D. Harrington it was
<br />Voted, That the name of Charles S. Blodgett be stricken from
<br />the list at his request, and that the rest of the list of jurors sub-
<br />mitted by the Selectmen for 1907 be accepted by the town.
<br />ART. 15. On motion of George D. Harrington it was
<br />Voted, That for the purpose of procuring temporary loans to and
<br />28
<br />for the use of the town of Lexington in anticipation of taxes of the
<br />present municipal year, the Town 'Treasurer is hereby authorized to
<br />borrow from time to time with the approval of the Board of Select-
<br />men, and to execute and deliver the note or notes of the town
<br />therefor, payable within one year from the time the loan is made.
<br />All debts incurred under this vote shall be paid from the taxes of
<br />the present municipal year.
<br />ART. 16. On motion of Frank D. Peirce it was
<br />Voted, That the taxes of 1907 be made payable December 1,
<br />1907, that an allowance of , of 1 per cent for each full month be
<br />made for prior payment, that interest at the rate of 6 per cent per
<br />annum be charged on all taxes paid after December 1, 1907, and
<br />that the Tax Collector be instructed to collect all taxes by June 1,
<br />190S.
<br />Aitr. 21. On motion of Robert P. Clapp it' was
<br />Voted, To lay the article on the table.
<br />ART. 23. On motion of Frank D. Peirce it was
<br />Voted, That the town accept the gift from the Association of
<br />Nathaniel Bowman's Descendants of a drinking fountain•for man and
<br />beast, to be located at the corner of Massachusetts avenue and
<br />Pleasant street, that plans and designs be furnished and submitted
<br />to the Selectmen for approval and that they have supervision over
<br />the building of the same.
<br />ART. 24. On motion of George W. Taylor it was
<br />Voted, That a committee of seven be appointed by the Modera-
<br />tor, to include the Selectmen, to consider the matter of re -arranging
<br />the town offices, and the rooms formerly occupied by the Cary
<br />Library; also to consider the matter of heating the Town Hall
<br />building with steam, and make necessary repairs upon the building.
