17 <br />ART. 8. To provide for the support of the public schools the en- <br />suing year, and grant money for the same. <br />ART. 9. To provide for the support of the poor at the Poor Farm <br />the ensuing year, and grant money for the same. <br />ART. 10. To provide for the support of outside poor the ensuing <br />year, and grant money for the same. <br />ART. 11. To provide for the support of the highways the ensuing <br />year, and grant money for the same. <br />ART. 12. To provide for the support of the street lights the en- <br />suing year, and grant money for the same. <br />ART. 13. To provide for the support of the Fire Department the <br />ensuing year, and grant money for the same. <br />ART. 14. To see if the town will make the appropriations for <br />town expenses the ensuing year, as submitted by the Selectmen, or <br />act in any manner relating thereto. <br />ART. 15. To see if the town will authorize their Treasurer, under <br />the direction of the Selectmen, to borrow money for any necessary <br />purpose, in anticipation of the collection of taxes the current year, <br />the same to be repaid directly from the proceeds of said taxes, or <br />act in any manner relating thereto. <br />ART. 16. To see what measures the town will adopt in relation <br />to the collection of taxes the ensuing year, or act in any manner <br />relating thereto. <br />ART. 17. To see if the town will make an appropriation to con- <br />struct sidewalks with concrete or other materials where the abutters <br />will pay one-half the expense thereof. <br />ART. 18. To see if the town will vote to issue bonds to the <br />amount of ten thousand dollars under the authority and provisions <br />i8 <br />of Chapter one hundred and sixty (160) of the Acts of 1896, for <br />the purpose of refunding an equal amount of bonds of the town de- <br />nominated "Lexington Water Bonds," which become due Nov. 1, <br />1904, or act in any manner relating thereto. <br />ART. 19. To see if the town will vote to build a new primary <br />school building and secure a suitable lot of land for the same. <br />ART. 20. To see if the town will borrow money or incur indebt- <br />edness, and if so in what manner and in what amount, for the pur- <br />pose of securing land upon which to erect a primary school building; <br />erecting such building thereon and furnishing the same, and grading <br />the grounds; or act in any manner in relation to providing for a <br />n _w school building and the land therefor, and the means of pay- <br />ment therefor. <br />ART. 21. To see if the town will vote to regulate sales by hawkers <br />and pedlars on the streets, ways, commons or public grounds in the <br />town, or act in any manner relating thereto. <br />ART. 22. To see if the town will change the name of Mason <br />street to Bennington road, or act in any manner relating thereto. <br />ART. 23. To see if the town will make an appropriation to defray <br />the expense of extending the water mains, when, in the judgment of <br />the Water Board, the same may be necessary, or act in any manner <br />relating thereto. <br />ART. 24. To see if the town will make an appropriation to com- <br />mence the making of surveys and plans of the real estate in town, as <br />recommended by the assessors in their report, or act in any manner <br />relating thereto. <br />ART. 25. To see if the town will vote to employ a Civil Engineer <br />in laying all macadam, making grades, etc., by a system, and make <br />an appropriation for the same, or act in any manner relating thereto. <br />
