<br />On motion of A. E. Locke it was
<br />Voted, That the salary of the Tax Collector be fixed at $800.00 ;
<br />that all legal fees obtained •by the fax Collector from sales of prop-
<br />erty sold for taxes be turned into the town treasury, after deducting
<br />all necessary expenses in connection with such sales.
<br />On motion of A. E. Locke it was
<br />Voted, That a full list of the town's tax payers, with amount of
<br />taxes paid, be printed in the annual report of the town for 1902.
<br />ART. 17. On motion of A. E. Locke it was
<br />Voted, That $1000 be appropriated and assessed for the construc-
<br />tion of sidewalks, with concrete or other material, the abuttors to
<br />pay one-half the expense therefor.
<br />ART. 19. On motion of A. E. Locke it was
<br />Voted, That the Highway Surveyors be instructed to construct a
<br />dram from the Hayes fountain along Massachusetts avenue to the
<br />function of Massachusetts avenue and Waltham street, with proper
<br />catch basins, and that $800.00 be appropriated for the purpose.
<br />ART. 28. On motion of A. E. Locke it was
<br />Voted, That the sum of $5,000.00 be appropriated for meeting
<br />the expenses already incurred in connection with procuring an ad-
<br />ditional water supply, and for the further prosecution of the work ;
<br />that the $5,000.00 be raised on the notes of the town, to be made
<br />payable $1,000.00 annually for five years, at a rate of interest not
<br />exceeding 31 per cent. per annum, said notes to be sold at public or
<br />private sale by the Selectmen, and that this appropriation be ex-
<br />pended under the direction of the present committee on additional
<br />water supply.
