SAVILLE, <br />Totem Clerk. <br />LEXINGTON, January 12, 1901, <br />WHEREAS, The Lexington & Boston Street Railway Company hav- <br />ing petitioned the Board of Selectmen for locations as follows : <br />Hancock street from Bedford street to Adams street, Adams <br />street from Hancock street to East street, East street from Adams <br />street to the Woburn line, <br />Also Massachusetts avenue from its junction with Bedford street <br />to Lincoln street, Lincoln street to Marrett street, Marrett street to <br />Massachusetts avenue, Massachusetts avenue from its junction with <br />Marrett street to the Lincoln line, <br />Also Massachusetts avenue from its junction with Bedford street <br />to the Lincoln line, and <br />WHEREAS, publication of each of these hearings having been made <br />according to statute, and, <br />WHEREAS, a location having been granted to said Lexington & <br />Boston Street Railway Company a portion of which embodied East <br />street from Lowell street to the Woburn line, <br />Now, therefore, the Board of Selectmen of Lexington at a meet- <br />ing held this date, having decided that public convenience and ne- <br />cessity do not require the granting of such locations, hereby decline <br />said locations, each and severally, excepting that part of East street <br />from Lowell street to the Woburn line to which reference is herein- <br />before made, and give the said Lexington & Boston Street Railway <br />Company leave to withdraw its petitions. <br />A true copy, attest : <br />G.
