Lexington Town Records. <br />FROM TOWN CLERK'S RECORD. <br />LEXINGTON, Jan. 12, 1901. <br />WHEREAS, the Waltham, Ayer and Pepperell Street Railway Company <br />having petitioned the Board of Selectmen for the following locations: <br />Massachusetts avenue from Bedford street to Lincoln street, Lincoln <br />street to Marrett street, Marrett street to Massachusetts avenue; <br />Massachusetts avenue from its junction with Marrett street to the <br />Lincoln line. Also Massachusetts avenue from its junction with <br />Bedford street to the Lincoln line, and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was given on said petition on Septem- <br />. ber 30th, 1899, and, <br />WHEREAS, publication was made according to statute, now <br />THEREFORE, the Board of Selectmen of the Town of Lexington, at <br />a meeting held this date, having decided that public convenience <br />and necessity do not require the granting of said location, hereby <br />decline the said location and give the said Waltham, Ayer and Pep- <br />perell Street Railway Conepany leave to withdraw its petition. <br />A true copy, attest : <br />GEORGE W. SAVILLE, Town Clerk. <br />Lr:xlicu ox, January 12, 1901. <br />WHEREAS, the Boston & Concord Street Railway Company having <br />petitioned the Board of Selectmen for locations as follows: Concord <br />avenue from Belmont line to Lincoln line, and a public hearing hav- <br />ing been granted therefor on August 25th, 1900, and <br />WHEREAS, the said Boston & Concord Street Railway Company <br />having petitioned the Board of Selectmen for locations as follows : <br />Elrn avenue from its junction with Bedford street to Massachusetts <br />avenue, thence through Massachusetts avenue to Lincoln street, <br />thence through Lincoln street to the Lincoln line ; also an unnamed <br />street from Lincoln street to Concord avenue by the Cambridge <br />Basin; also Woburn street from its junction with Massachusetts ave- <br />nue to Lowell street, Lowell street to East street, East street to the <br />Woburn line, <br />And public hearings having been granted therefor on September <br />22nd, 1900, and <br />WHEREAS, due notice was given by publication as required by <br />statute of all these hearings, and all provisions of statute having <br />been fully complied with in all cases, now, therefore, the Board of <br />Selectmen of the Town of Lexington at a meeting held this date, <br />having decided that public convenience and necessity do not require <br />such locations, hereby decline said locations, each and severally, and <br />
