x5 <br />LOCATION OF TELEPHONE POLES. <br />THE NEW ENGLAND TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY OF <br />MASSACHUSETTS. <br />You are hereby notified that you are duly authorized by vote of the <br />board of selectmen of the town of Lexington, Massachusetts. to <br />erect and maintain poles and wires to be placed thereon, together <br />with such supporting and strengthening fixtures and wires as said <br />company may deem requisite in the following named streets and <br />highways of said town. <br />A plan of locations hereby granted is to be filed. <br />All construction under this permit shall be in accordance with the <br />following specifications : <br />Poles shall be of a length, size and material, and the wires thereon <br />shall be at a height and placed in a manner satisfactory to the board <br />of selectmen. <br />A copy of this permit is recorded in the records of the town of <br />Lexington, Massachusetts. <br />LEONARD A. FOSTER, Constable of Lexington, GREETING : <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are <br />hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the town of <br />Lexington, qualified by law to vote in town affairs, to assemble at <br />the Town Hall on Monday, the fifth day of March, A. D, 1900, at <br />7 o'clock A. M., to act on the following articles, viz :— <br />ART. 1. To choose a moderator to preside at said meeting. <br />On motion of Mr. E. A. Bayley it was <br />Voted, That we proceed to election of moderator by ballot and <br />that the polls remain open five minutes. <br />On ballot with the use of check list, 36 ballots were cast, all for <br />James H. Frizelle, who was declared chosen as moderator and was <br />duly sworn by the clerk. <br />ART. 2. To choose by ballot the following town officers : <br />One town clerk for the term of one year; one selectman for the <br />term of one year; one selectman for the term of two years; one <br />selectman for the term of three years; three overseers of the poor <br />for the terns of one year; three 'surveyors of the highways for the <br />termof one year; three assessors for the term of one year; one <br />town treasurer for the term of one year; one collector of taxes <br />for the term of one year; two auditors for the term of one <br />year; two constables for the term of one year; one member <br />of the board of water commissioners for the term of one year; <br />one member 'of the board of water commissioners for the term <br />of three years; one member of the cemetery committee for the <br />
