LEXINGTON TOWN RECORDS, <br />Fon. mnE YEAR 1887-88. <br />WARRANT FOR A TOWN MEETING, <br />MONDAY, MARCH 7, 1887. <br />To Walter Wellington, Constable of Lexington,— <br />Greeting: <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachu- <br />setts, you are hereby required to notify and warn <br />the inhabitants of the Town of Lexington, qualified <br />by law to vote in Town affairs, to assemble at the <br />Town Hall, on Monday, the seventh day of March, <br />A.D. 1887, at nine o'clock in the forenoon, to act on <br />the following articles, viz: <br />ARTICLE 1. To choose a Moderator. <br />ARm. 2. To hear the report of any Committee <br />that may be ready to report, and act thereon. <br />ART. 3. To choose Town Officers for the ensu- <br />ing year, including one School Committee -man for <br />the term of three years; also, one for the term of one <br />year, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of <br />Benj. F. Brown. <br />ART. 4. To choose one Committee -man for the <br />6 <br />term of three years, and one Committee -man for two <br />years, to fill vacancies in the Cemetery Committee. <br />ART. 5. To provide for the support of the <br />Poor the ensuing year, and to grant money for <br />the same. <br />ART. 6. To provide for the support of the High- <br />ways, the ensuing year, and to grant money for the <br />same. <br />ART. 7. To provide for the support of the Public <br />Schools, the ensuing year, including their several <br />grades, and grant money for the same. <br />ART. 8. To provide for the support of the Fire <br />Department, the ensuing year, and to grant money <br />for the same. <br />ART. 9. To provide for the support of the Street <br />Lamps, the ensuing year, and grant money for the <br />same. <br />ART. 10. To see if the Town will accept the list <br />of Jurors presented by the Selectmen. <br />ART. 11. To see if the Town will vote for or <br />against granting licenses for the sale of Intoxicating <br />Liquors, in answer to the following question: "Shall <br />licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating liq- <br />uors in this Town?" The vote on the above question <br />shall be by ballot, "Yes or No," and the check list <br />shall be used, as provided by Section 5, chap. 100, of <br />the Public Statutes. <br />ART. 12. To see if the Town will make the ap- <br />propriations for Town expenses the ensuing year <br />as submitted by the Selectmen, or act in any manner <br />relating thereto. <br />ART. 13. To see what measures the Town will <br />
