If the town should delay <br />until an order was issued, then the work would have <br />to be completed within a specified time, and the <br />expense would be heavy and burdensome. <br />Quite a distance of that part of Waltham Street <br />between Maine Street and Grape Vine Corner has <br />been widened to fifty feet: it is believed that land <br />sufficient to continue that width through to Grape <br />Vine Corner can be secured without cost, if the Town <br />will reduce the ledge and grade that distance. <br />It appears to us that the present year would be a <br />favorable time for this irnprovement. <br />Other suggestions might be offered; but if the few <br />we have enumerated receive attention, our object in <br />some degree is attained. <br />ALBERT W.
