FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD <br />Members: 7 members (2 Selectmen, 1 Clergy, 2 Service Organization Representatives, 1 Trustee <br />and 1 Community Member) <br />Appointed By: Board of Selectmen <br />Length of Term: open <br />Appointments Made: As needed <br />Meeting Times: Quarterly, or as needed <br />Description: This Fund is devoted to three purposes: Beautification, Human Services (primarily, to assist those in <br />our community who may need help to overcome a financial crisis), and Community Betterment Initiatives. The <br />Board is responsible for soliciting donations. In addition they review requests and disperse funds in accordance with <br />the criteria of the Fund. <br />Criteria for Membership: The Board of The Fund for Lexington (the Board) shall consist of two members of the <br />Board of Selectmen, one of whom shall be Chair, the chair or his designee of the Trustees of Public Trusts, one <br />resident Clergy, one Community Member and the presidents or their designees of two service or fraternal <br />organizations which are active within the Town.
