2020 Vision Implementation Committee
November 21, 2003 – Meeting Minutes
7:45 a.m. Selectmen’s Meeting Room
Members Present
: Fernando Quezada, John Bartenstein, Jeanne Kreiger, Peter Lee, Scott Burson, Peter
Enrich, Chuck Benson, Jerome Smith, Tom Harden, Todd Burger, and Alan Lazarus.
Others:
Candy McLaughlin, Wendy Rundle, Nancy Tentindo, and Kerry Evans.
Minutes:
The minutes from the October 17, 2003, Implementation Committee meeting were discussed
and approved.
Public Meetings:
The nine precinct meetings were discussed. Over one hundred residents participated,
but new goals were articulated and some made it to the final list of goals. A written summary of the
outcome of the nine meetings was presented. Suggestions were made to clarify and “flesh out” some of
the ideas articulated at the meetings before going to the joint board meeting. Discussion was held
regarding providing feedback to the participants. It was decided to send out a postcard to the participants,
telling them that they can find information on the website, and they will get a full report after the joint
ndth
board meeting. Possible dates of December 2 and December 11 were discussed for the joint board
meeting as well as potential locations. Candy is continuing to work to confirm the logistics of the
meeting. There was discussion regarding the overall purpose of the joint board meeting and it was
determined that the Committee is asking the boards not for the most important goals but for the most
important goals that need a dedicated work group. It was also suggested that the Committee sets up the
process for the Board including hearing back from the work groups when they are done and figuring out
what the Board should do once they have information from the work groups.
Upcoming dates:
December 5 – Process Subcommittee
December 19 - 2020 Vision Committee meeting
Meeting adjourned
at 9:00 am.
2020 Vision Implementation Committee 1 October 17, 2003
