Revenue, calls for a review of the fees collected at the Registries of Deeds (the trust <br /> fund's primary source of funding). If passed, it would call upon the Department of <br /> Revenue to calculate the necessary fees that would allow for all CPA communities to <br /> receive a 50% match in their first round distribution. The bill received a favorable <br /> recommendation from the Joint Committee on Revenue in 2015. The legislation was <br /> filed at the State House in January 2017 and was co-sponsored by 120 legislators, <br /> including all of Lexington's delegation, in addition to the three bill sponsors. <br /> Given the increased number of CPA communities competing for limited funds and the <br /> uncertainty of future state budget surplus transfers and pending legislation, the Town <br /> continues to maintain a conservative 21% state match estimate for FY18.
