ARTICLE 10 (n) <br /> Project: Park and Playground Improvements <br /> CPA Category: Recreational Resources <br /> Amount Requested: $60,000 <br /> Amount Recommended: $60,000 <br /> CPC Vote: (9-0) <br /> Project Description: <br /> This FY18 requests seeks funding to replace and update the swing sets at Bow Street Park, <br /> Franklin Park and Munroe Park. Funding would also be used to install bike racks at all three <br /> locations. Swing sets were last replaced at Franklin and Munroe Parks in 1989 and last replaced <br /> at Bow Street Park in 1986. The existing structures do not comply with current compliance <br /> standards and pose a safety risk to users. <br /> Project Goals and Objectives: <br /> • Replace outdated swing structures at three locations in order to improve safety and <br /> comply with safety and accessibility standards; and <br /> • Install bike racks at the three locations. <br /> Project Benefit: <br /> The installation of new structures at these locations will help reduce frequent repairs, inspections <br /> and equipment removal due to deteriorating equipment. Safety and accessibility will also be <br /> improved through the implementation of the proposed upgrades. <br /> Funding Request: <br /> The FY18 CPA request is $60,000. <br /> 24 <br />
