<br /> <br />Town Celebrations Committee <br />Minutes of Meeting <br />January 24, 2024 <br />By Zoom Teleconference <br /> <br />Members Present: <br />Glen Bassett and Geetha Padaki, Co-Chairs; Sandy Podgorski, Lorain Marquis, Sue Stering, <br />Cerise Jalelian, Sondra Lucente, Linda Dixon, Yifang Gong, Dave Grabel, Pan Winters, Ashley <br />Rooney, Bonnie Karshbaum <br />Member not Present <br />Sudha Balasuryan, Steve Cole, Kevin Collins, Dabby Harter, Mary Hutton, Julie Miller, Hong <br />Xie <br />Guest: Karen Tayler (VSO) <br />Business <br /> Meeting called to order by Geetha Padaki at 7:02 pm <br /> The minutes of Jan 10th’s meeting were reviewed, corrected, and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />MLK Day debrief. <br />Lorian gave a summary of MLK Day. Five TCC members, Lorain, Sue, Cerise, Sandy, and <br />Yifang, participated in the parade. Group Pictures were taken and shared within the TCC. <br /> <br />Patriots’ Day Planning <br /> The parade coordinate meeting was held last Wednesday. <br />th <br /> The stakeholder meeting will be on the 15, and a proposal will be sent to SB. <br /> The application form will be ready by next week. <br />Morning parade: <br /> (BK) Girl Scott felt the morning parade always wore them out. Bonnie will keep <br />persuading them to participate. <br /> The youth parade starts at 7:30 am at Cary Memorial, marches through Lexington Center, <br />and goes to the Battle Green Ceremony at 8:00 am. <br /> Look for the possibility of the youth groups from CAAL and IAL participating in the <br />morning parade. <br />Afternoon parade: <br /> <br />
