FY16 CPA funds contributed towards the first phase of the <br />project which included the successful recovery of 29 fired and unfired musket balls <br />dating back to April 19, 1775. FY18 CPA funds were requested to support the design, <br />fabrication and installation of a wall-mounted, museum quality exhibit case constructed <br />to house the archaeological artifacts discovered during phase one. The request will also <br />fund the design and installation of graphic wayside exhibit panels and the development <br />of a solar powered audio component for external exhibit panels. <br /> <br />While the total project cost is $116,350, the Friends requested $41,350 in FY18 CPA <br />funds. The $75,000 difference is planned for the battlefield rehabilitation component of <br />the project and will be funded separately through private donations, including a $45,000 <br />grant previously awarded to the organization. <br /> <br />Following brief discussion of the proposal, the CPC voted in a straw poll to support the <br />project, 6-0-1.
