Support of first-time homebuyer programs, including the Soft Second Loan Program <br />administered by the State Department of Housing and Community Development. The <br />2012 amendments to the Community Preservation Act explicitly provide that <br />"support of community housing " includes "programs that provide grants, loans, <br />rental assistance, security deposits, interest rate write downs or other forms of <br />assistance, directly to families or individuals who are eligible for community <br />housing". <br />In determining which strategies to support with recommendations for CPA funding, the <br />Lexington CPC will be guided by our Town's specific needs and preferences regarding <br />community housing. <br />14 <br />
