<br />Minutes of the <br />Lexington Capital Expenditures Committee (CEC) Meeting <br />November 9, 2016 (Summit II including Executive Session) <br />Location and Time: <br /> Samuel Hadley Public Services Building, Cafeteria; 7:00 .. <br />PM <br />Members Present: <br /> Jill Hai, ChairDavid Kanter, Vice-Chair & Clerk; Rod Cole; Charles <br />; <br />Lamb; Wendy Manz <br />Member Absent: <br /> None <br />Others Present: <br />(See the Board of Selectmen (BoS) Minutes of this Summit for the Others <br />Present) <br />Documents Presented <br />: <br /> Notice of BoS Meeting, including a joint Executive Session, with the CEC, the <br />Lexington Appropriation Committee, and the Lexington School Committee, <br />November 9, 2016 <br />(See the BoS Minutes of this Summit for other Documents Presented.) <br />Call to Order: <br /> Ms. Hai called this Committee’s meeting to order at 7:01 .. and this <br />PM <br />Committee joined the Summit. (See the BoS Minutes of that event for this Committee’s <br />further participation in the Summit.) <br />At 8:40 .., it was moved and seconded by the BoS to go into Executive Session to <br />PM <br />consider the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property at 20 Pelham Road with <br />the intent to reconvene in Open Session only to adjourn. Further, the Chair of that Board <br />declared that an Open Session may have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position of <br />the Town. The members of that Board were individually polled. Vote: 4–0 <br />At 8:41 .., As Chair, Ms. Hai declared the need for the Executive Session was for the <br />PM <br />same reason cited by the Chair of the BoS (which is Open Meeting Law Exemption 6) and <br />for the same purpose cited, also with the intent to reconvene in Open Session only to <br />adjourn. The members of this Committee were individually polledVote: 5–0 <br />. <br />This Committee was then in Executive Session. (See the BoS Minutes for this Executive <br />Session for this Committee’s further participation in the substance of the Executive <br />Session.) <br />At 9:35 .., Ms. Hai moved for this Committee to return to Open Session only to adjourn. <br />PM <br />The members of this Committee were individually polled. Vote: 5–0 <br />Adjourn: <br />A Motion was made and seconded at 9:35 .. to adjourn this Committee. <br />PM <br />Vote: 5–0 <br />These Minutes were approved by the CEC, and also approved for public release, at its <br />meeting on November 29, 2016. <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
