Lexington Housing Partnership <br />manyquestions.Thepresentationwasprimarilyaboutaffordablehousingforseniors,both <br />regardingalternativesforaffordablehousinganddescribingtheprocessforobtainingaffordable <br />housing.Therewasdiscussionofaffordablerentalversusaffordablehousingownership. <br />7.UpdateonBoardreappointments/Weiss <br />Thecurrentmemberswhowerenominatedforreappointmentwerereappointed.TheLexington <br />HousingPartnershiphasanumberofopenseats.Tocontinuetofunctioneffectively,the <br />PartnershipwouldneedtoasktheBoardtochangethechargesuchthatasmallernumberof <br />on <br />membersareneededforaquorum.ThePartnershipalsodiscussedconvertingtheLexHABseat <br />thePartnershipintoaliaisonpositionratherthanamemberposition. <br />Afterdiscussion,Ms.WeissmovedthatthePartnershiprequestthattheBoardofSelectmenchange <br />thechargeforthePartnershipto9votingmembersand6liaisonsandthattheLexHABdesignation <br />bechangedfromamembertoaliaison.Themotionpassedunanimously. <br />8.Commentsfromthosepresentonanyprojectswithaffordablehousingimplications/All <br />TheCPChasmanyproposalstoconsider,buttheonlyhousingproposalisforsomeadditional <br />moneyforapreservationprojectfortheLHAunitsatGreeleyVillage.Thereisnorequestforfunds <br />tomakeastartontheLearyhousingparcel. <br />9.Newbusiness <br />TherewasajointmeetingonWednesday,Oct.26ofthePlanningBoard&theBoardofSelectmenin <br />EstabrookHallatCaryHall.Thefirstagendaitemwasbalancedhousing.Therewasdiscussionof <br />askingthePlanningBoardtobringarevisedzoningbylawrelativetodevelopmentthatisdenser <br />thanbyrightdevelopment.Thegoalisthatanyformofdenserdevelopmentneedstobringapublic <br />benefit.Thecurrentbylawhasnotfulfilledtheoriginalintent?forexample,therehasnotbeena <br />sufficientdiversityofhousing. <br />Ms.FoutterspokewiththeDouglasHouseexecutivedirector.Hesaidthattheyarenolonger <br />allowedtoexpandduetorecentlegalchanges.Ms.Foutterspokewithhimaboutrenovationstothe <br />DouglasHouse.ItispossiblethatCPAfundscanbeusedforpreservationprojectsatDouglasHouse. <br />Also,DouglasHouseownsasmallhousethatisnotcurrentlyhabitable.Thehouseisinthehistoric <br />district;CPCfundscouldberequestedforworkonanapartment.Therequestcouldbemadeboth <br />ashistoricandaffordablehousingfunding. <br />10.Setnextmeetingdate <br />ThenextLHPmeetingwillbeonNov.17at7:30p.m. <br />11.Meetingadjournment <br />Ms.Weissmovedadjournment.Mr.Pressmansecondedthemotion.Themotionwasapproved <br />unanimously. <br />
