Funds Available for granting (FY 24)$9,709.00 <br />We are voting to reverse our vote about reserving 20%of our State money for <br />our own projects. <br />❖Calling to reverse our vote about reserving 20%of our State money for <br />our own project. <br />➢Motion :Ashley <br />➢Seconded :Steve <br />Unanimously Approved. <br />•Discussion of MCC grant applications <br />Today ’s objective is to look back at the amounts we had attributed to the <br />grantees and hear members’comments.A few things were observed: <br />-The disparity between the amount of financing requested by <br />some grantees and the amount allocated:Is it useful to give <br />$150.00 to a grantee requesting $700.00 for example?We were <br />divided on that question,some of us feeling that even if the <br />amount is small,it is a gesture from the LCA,it gives the project <br />visibility and others feeling that the money would be better used <br />to add funding to better projects. <br />-The importance of having a real dialogue with the grantees <br />between allocating funds and the implementation of the project. <br />-The importance of checking that grantees acknowledge our <br />funding in their promotional materials. <br />Steve will create a spreadsheet on which members of the LCA can sign up to be a <br />liaison :we can start with 2 grantees.The Liaison typically <br />-Connects directly with the grantees <br />-Serves as a principal communication channel if questions arise <br />-Checks that websites and promotional material acknowledge the <br />LCA <br />-Attends the event. <br />-The liaison also helps create some material for the newsletter and <br />the website. <br />➢Motion to accept the amounts for the grantees as indicated on the
