RECEIVED
M55 arn,Dec 01,2023
`roWN CLERK
9!V"Vt_. JOSEPH ESTABROOK LEMNGrON IMA
Dr.Gerardo]Martinez (781)861-2520
Principal gmartinez@lexingtonma.org
Fax:(781)86,2-2145
Estabrook School Site Council Minutes
11/27/23
3:45-4:45 pm
In attendance: Gerardo Martinez, Maris Joniec, Amy Klotz, Allison Burke, Ethan Wells
Agenda
• Finalize by-laws
• Parking
• MCAS presentation
• Next meeting time and date
Finalization of by-laws
There were no objections to finalizing the by-laws as stated in the attachment to Dr. Martinez's 11/27
email.
Parking
Dr. Martinez was recently advised by the Lexington Fire and Police Departments that areas designated, in
the Alternate Parking Plan inherited from the previous administration, for overflow parking are in fact
prohibited for reasons of public safety, since parking in many of these areas risks blocking fire truck
access and limiting fire truck maneuverability. Dr. Martinez discussed options with both Lexington fire
and police, as well as internally within the school district. While many of the options he presented
seemed viable, they're all going to require funding and approval -a process that makes meaningful and
definitive action on this issue unlikely within the next 6 to 8 months.
Two unofficial workarounds were suggested(the latter of which is being added at the time of this
writing):
1. Parking at the trail entrance to the Landlocked Forest on Turning Mill Rd and taking the 0.3 mile
path that leads from this parking to the back of Estabrookl-
