I
emailed his resignation to Lynne Pease, Selectmen Clerk and Nathalie Rice, Town Clerk on
March 28, 2016, but this letter may serve as a more formal notice.
The Lexington Housing Authority Board met on March 30, 2016 in a Special Public
Meeting to discuss candidates that would be appropriate to fill the vacancy left by Mr.
McSweeney. In a unanimous vote, all members agreed to nominate Mr. Richard Perry of 40
Clarke Street, Lexington MA 02421.
Mr. Perry has been a Lexington resident for many years and has raised his family here.
He is a local builder who will bring immense expertise, specifically related to construction that
we do not otherwise have. He has a great understanding of the needs of the community as well
as a compassionate outlook towards affordable housing. We believe Mr. Perry would be a
wonderful addition and complement to the Lexington Housing Authority Board of
Commissioners.
The next step in the process is to meet together for a roll call vote to approve this
nomination. That meeting has to be advertised for one week. We would like to expedite this
Equal Employment Opportunity-Affirmative Action Employer
