Board of Assessors Meeting <br />Open Session Minutes <br />March 7, 2023 <br />A meeting of the Lexington Board of Assessors was called to order at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in the Parker <br />Meeting Room, Town Office Building. Gregory Johnson, Chairman, Edmund C. Grant, Member, and Casimir Groblewski, <br />Member, were present as well as Robert F. Lent, Director of Assessing, Michael E. Golden, Assistant Director of Assessing, <br />Barbara Sird, Residential Inspector/Analyst and Sandra Pentedemos, Administrative Assessor. <br />Open Session <br />Public Comment Time: None present. <br />Mr. Lent informed the Board of a request from Ms. Kosnoff, Director of Finance, on behalf of Mr. Malloy, Town Manager, to compile a report <br />for all constructed properties Gross Floor Area (FLA) and Gross Living Area (GLA) in preparation of the Town Warrant Article 40. Mr. Lent <br />and Mr. Golden will work together on the project details. <br />and Mr. Golden are working with Ms. Kosnoff, Director of Finance preparing information No financial matter discussions. <br />VOTE: Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Assessors voted 3-0 by roll call to adjourn the Open Session of the meeting at <br />4:15 p.m. to enter into Executive Session under Purpose 7 in order to deliberate Fiscal Year 2023 Statutory Exemptions, Real Estate <br />Abatement Applications and Personal Property Abatements. Further it was declared that an open meeting discussion may have a detrimental <br />effect on the litigation position of the town. <br />The Board reconvened Open Session at 6:30 p.m. <br />Executive Session occurred here: details may be viewed in separate Executive Session folder. <br />VOTE: Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Assessors voted 3-0 by roll call to approve the recommendations for the Fiscal <br />Year 2023 Chapter 59, Section 5 Various Statutory Exemption Applications. (See lists in Executive folder). <br />VOTE: Upon a motion duty made and seconded, the Board of Assessors voted 3-0 by roll call to approve the recommendations for the Fiscal <br />Year 2023 Chapter 59 Section 59, Real Estate Abatement Applications. (See Executive folder). <br />VOTE: Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Assessors voted 3-0 by roll call to approve the recommendations for the Fiscal <br />Year 2023 Chapter 59 Section 59, Personal Property Abatement Applications. (See list in Executive folder). <br />There were no pending Appellate Tax Board actions to discuss. No decisions had to be made. <br />The Board approved Meeting Minutes of November B, 2022, November 14, 2022, November 28, 2022 and December 13, 2022. <br />The Board of Assessors next scheduled Meeting will be held on April 4, 2023. <br />There being no other business a motion was duly made and seconded at 6:35 p.m. to adjourn the Meeting. <br />A true record: Attest Sandra Pentedemos, Administrative Assessor <br />Meeting Secretary <br />
