<br />Minutes of the <br />Lexington Capital Expenditures Committee (CEC) Meeting <br />May 5, 2016 (including Executive Session) <br />Location and Time: <br /> Cary Memorial Building, Estabrook Hall; 7:00 .. <br />PM <br />Members Present: <br /> David Kanter, Vice-Chair & Clerk; Elizabeth Barnett; Rod Cole; <br />Wendy Manz <br />Member Absent: <br /> Jill Hai, Chair <br />Others Present: <br />(See the Board of Selectmen (BoS) Minutes of the Executive Session for <br />the Others Present) <br />Documents Presented <br />: <br /> Notice of Board of Selectmen (BoS) Meeting, including a joint Executive Session <br />with the CEC and the Appropriation Committee, May 5, 2016 <br />(See the BoS Minutes of the Executive Session for other Documents Presented.) <br />Call to Order: <br /> At 7:01 .., Mr. Kanter called this Committee’s meeting to order. <br />PM <br />At 7:01 .., it was moved and seconded by the BoS to go into Executive Session to <br />PM <br />consider the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property at 20 Pelham Road and <br />6 Eliot Road with the intent to reconvene in Open Session only to adjourn. Further, the <br />Chair of that Board declared that an Open Session may have a detrimental effect on the <br />negotiating position of the Town. The members of that Board were individually polled. <br />Mr. Kanter, as Vice-Chair of this Committee, declared the need for the Executive Session <br />was for the same reason cited by the Chair of the BoS (which is Open Meeting Law <br />Exemption 6) and for the same purpose cited, also with the intent to reconvene in Open <br />Session only to adjourn. The members of this Committee were individually polledVote: 4–0 <br />. <br />This Committee was then in Executive Session. See the Minutes of the Board of Selectmen <br />for this Executive Session for this Committee’s further participation in the substance of the <br />Executive Session. <br />At 7:46 .., Mr. Kanter moved for this Committee to return to Open Session only to <br />PM <br />adjourn. The members of this Committee were individually polled.
