Commissioners Present: Robert Rotberg, Chair, Marilyn Fenollosa, Wendall Kalsow.
Commissioner Absent: Diane Pursley, Susan Bennett.
Associate Commissioners Present: David Kelland.

Chair Robert Rotberg called the August 16 Historical Commission meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
AGENDA ITEM #1: Approval of meeting minutes

Ms. Fenollosa made a motion to approve the minutes of the meeting held on July 19, 2023 as
written. Mr. Kalsow seconded. Motion carried with Mr. Rotberg abstention. All in favor.
AGENDA ITEM #2: Lex. Farm Chimney
The Lexington Farm Chimney (52 Lowell Street) is in the Comprehensive Cultural Resources
Survey of the Lexington Historical Commission.
MOTION:
Ms. Fenollosa made a motion to table this discussion and postpone it to next HC meeting. Mr.
Kelland seconded.
Roll Call Vote:
Mr. Kalsow – Yes,
Ms. Fenollosa – Yes,
Mr. Kelland – Yes,
Mr. Rotberg – Yes,
Motion carried 4 to 0.
AGENDA ITEM #3: Hosmer House
The Historical Commission discussed the relocation construction of Hosmer House.
AGENDA ITEM #4: Battle Road question
The Historical Commission discussed the Battle Road repair (MassDOT) project.

The Commissioners discussed to increase commissioners’ numbers of HC.

Mr. Kalsow made a motion to adjourn at 7:48pm. Mr. Kelland seconded. Motion carried. All in
favor.
