FORMAL HEARING Chair Paul O’Shaughnessy opened the formal hearing for 1736 Massachusetts Avenue, exterior alterations (Signage) in the Battle Green Historic District Documents Full plan set of proposed alteration: dated June 8, 2023 Photographs of entire place of each building elevation visible from the public way: dated May 18, 2023 Material List: dated May 18, 2023 Work Scope Narrative: dated May 18, 2023 Owner Authorization Letter: dated May 22, 2023 This application will continue to next meeting due to the absence of applicant. Chair Paul O’Shaughnessy opened the formal hearing for 807 Massachusetts Avenue, exterior alterations (Signage) in the East Village Historic District Documents Full plan set of proposed alteration: dated May 23, 2023 Photographs of entire place of each building elevation visible from the public way: dated May 23, 2023 Material List: dated May 23, 2023 Historic Districts Commission 1 / 4 Work Scope Narrative: dated May 23, 2023 Owner Authorization Letter: dated May 23, 2023 Images: dated May 23, 2023 The architect explained the proposed signage plans at 807 Mass Ave. The Commission felt the proposed changes were appropriate. No public comments. Motion was granted and seconded to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior changes to 807 Massachusetts Avenue. Motion carried, all in favor. The applicant explained the proposed restaurant renovation plans at 10 Muzzey Street, Unit 1. The Commission agreed to continue this application to next HDC meeting. Chair Paul O’Shaughnessy and Lee Noel Chase will serve as liaison for this application. Jerold Michelson, 3 Clyde Pl, suggested to add some Asian-style design details on restaurant renovation. CONTINUE HEARING Chair Paul O’Shaughnessy opened the continued hearing for 7 Harrington Road, exterior alterations (Front Entrance Modification) in the Battle Green Historic District Documents Updated Revised drawings: dated June 10, 2023 Historic Districts Commission 3 / 4 The applicant explained the updated front entrance modification plans at 7 Harrington Road. The Commission felt the revised proposed plans were appropriate. Bob Adams has been served as liaison for this application. No public comments. Motion was granted and seconded to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior changes to 7 Harrington Road. Motion carried, all in favor. ACTION ITEMS st The Commission will review and approve the meeting minutes of meetings held on June 1, 2023, thth June 14, 2023 & July 6, 2023 on next meeting due to lack of quorum.
