Lexington Housing Partnership MeetingMinutesforThursday,March31,2016 Attendees:HarrietCohen,NancyCorcoranRonchetti,JeriFoutter,MaryHaskell,WendyManz,Bob Pressman,MelindaWalker,BetseyWeiss, Absent:JoePato,PaulLinton DesireePelletier,ElizabethRust,IngridKlimoff Guests: ThemeetingwaschairedbyMelindaWalkerandtheminutesweretakenbyHarrietCohen.Themeeting wascalledtoorderat7:37pm. 1.ApprovalofminutesofFebruary24,2016 ThePartnershipmadeafewminorclarificationstotheminutes.Ms.Haskelthenmovedapprovalof theminutes;Ms.Weisssecondedthemotion.Themotionpassedunanimously. 2.ReportonactivitiesofRHSO(RegionalHousingAffordableOffice)inLexington/ElizabethRust Ms.RustpresentedarecommendationfromAaronHenrytotheBoardofSelectmantoapprovetwo ǤĻğƩƭworthofHOMEfunds($69,342)towardstheKeelerFarmpurchase.ALIPapplicationis includedintherecommendationtoensurethatthereisaperpetualdeedrestrictiononthe affordablehousing.TheHOMEprogramhasapprovedtheuseoffunds.Thepaperworkforthe fundingisbeingprovidedbyRHSO. Procedurally,theremustbefourvotestoobtaintheHOMEfunds.Theseshouldallbeproforma. Theyare: 1.VotetoallocatetheFY16funds. 2.VotetoallocatetheFY17funds. 3.VotetosigntheHOMEpaperwork VotetosigntheLIPapplication 4. Ms.RustnotedthattheremainderofthefundswillcomefromtheCPAfunds. RHSOisworkingtomaintainaffordablehousingatAvalonLexington.Theagreementforthe affordablehousingthatinitiallyprovidedforrentstobeprovidedat50%ofAMIhasexpired.The unitswillnowbeat80%ofAMIforfuturetenants. 3.ContinueddiscussionaboutLexingtonHousingFoundation/Foutter&Haskell Ms.HaskellremindedtheLHPthatBobBicknellhasresignedfromtheFoundationanda replacementneedstobefound. TheLHPdiscussedhowtheLexingtonHousingFoundationmightbestbeleveragedforaccepting housingfunds.Ms.FoutterclarifiedthelegalstatusoftheFoundation.TheLHPagreed affordable thatitshouldsupporttheworkoftheLexingtonHousingFoundation.Ms.Walkerencouragedthe LHPmemberstohelpfindareplacementforMr.Bicknell. 4.ContinueddiscussionaboutMetrowestCoffeesforSeniors/Pelletier Ms.PelletiercontactedtheSeniorCenteraboutholdinganaffordablehousinginformationsession attheSeniorCenter.TheSeniorCenterhasalreadysentoutitsMay/Junenewsletterandisnot Lexington Housing Partnership addinganyMayorJuneevents.ThenextnewsletterswillbeforJuly/AugustandSeptember/ October.Thefollowingoptionsareavailable: WaituntilSeptemberorOctober. ScheduleforJuly/Augbutadvertiseheavilyaspeoplewillbeawayinthesummer Holdatalternatelocation. thebestalternativeistowaitforSeptember.5ĻƭźƩĻĻƭtermendsinmid TheLHPagreedthat August,soshewouldnotbeleadingthediscussion.SomeoneelsefromMWCDwouldleadthe session. 5.NewBusiness Ms.CohensuggestedinvitingDannyWattsfrom.Ɠğź.ƩźƷŷHousingtoanupcomingmeeting.Ms. CohensaidshewouldtrytocontactMr.Watts.
