Permanent Building Committee (PBC) <br />201 Bedford Street, Room 221 <br />March 7, 2016 <br />Members Present: Philip Coleman, Dick Perry, Chuck Favazzo, Eric Brown, Jon Himmel, Peter <br />Johnson, Carl Oldenburg, Howard Hobbs, Ned Goodell, Bill Hurley, Lee Noel Chase, <br />Members Absent: <br />Guests: Ken DiNisco and Angel Khazadian - DiNisco Design Partnership; Mike Lambert and Dave <br />Doherty -Bond Brothers; Paul G. Kalous, Hill International <br />Lexington DPF: Patrick Goddard, Director of Public Facilities and Mark Barrett, RA Project Manager <br />Recording Secretary: Ann Marie Ponzini <br />Eric called the Meeting to order at 6:05p.m. <br />1. General Business <br />• The members reviewed the PBC minutes dated February 111h, 2016. <br />Motion to approve PBC Committee minutes dated February 11th, 2016 — APPROVED. <br />2. Clarke and Diamond Updates - DiNisco <br />• The Clarke and Diamond presentation showed a schedule of dates for the following: <br />1. 3/21 Diamond Order of Conditions / NOI <br />2. 3/25 Locker Room Bid & Site Enabling & Structure Bid <br />3. 7/1 Addition /Renovation Bids <br />4. 8/15 Space Mining Completed <br />5. 8/15 Classroom Additions Completed <br />• DiNisco expressed the importance of meeting the schedule. Some selective will start on May <br />15th, as demo in the locker rooms on second shift. <br />• DiNisco reviewed the December 2015 Project Cost Estimates for Clarke and Diamond, and they <br />are still on schedule to meet the project estimates. Total Cost $66,674,689. Which included the <br />$10,000,000 which was added for HVAC upgrade at Diamond. <br />• The March Updated Project Cost Estimates were then reviewed which totaled $66,615,000, <br />which also included the Diamond HVAC upgrades. <br />• PBC members asked about contingencies. It was stated that contingencies were included as <br />follows: 2 %2% Construction, 5 -6% Design, & Escalation to mid point ( +/ -1 %2 %) on Bond side. <br />The owner's contingency is 6 %. <br />PCB Meeting 03.07.16 <br />Page 1 <br />
