Description: The Biosafety Committee functions in an advisory capacity to the Board
of Health on the use of rDNA technology within the Town. The
committee provides recommendations on the issuance of rDNA permits
as well as on relevant regulatory and technological changes in the field.
Criteria for
Membership: All members should have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the
field of biotechnology and/or a sense of concern for the Town.
