<br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD <br />December 5, 2022 <br />4:04 p.m. <br />held by remote participation <br /> <br />Present: Doug Lucente, Chair; Norman Cohen; Ed Grant; Rev. Claire Feingold Thoryn; Joe Pato; Alan <br />Wrigley and Kim Katzenback, Executive Clerk to the Select Board. <br />Mr. Lucente stated the remote participation meeting is being held remotely as posted with the agenda. <br />1) Money Available as of October 31, 2022: Principal $296,575.19 <br /> Income $8,088.49 <br /> <br />2) Human Services Report and Request for Funds <br /> <br />Report <br />Mr. Lucente reviewed the memo supplied by Melissa Interess, Human Services Director which outlined <br />the following activity for the Human Services funds dispersed for the period September 1, 2022 – <br />November 30, 2022: <br /> Fund for Lexington <br />o $1,693.97 out of the Heating Assistance Pilot (Remaining balance - $1,690.15) <br /> Human Services Emergency Fund (non COVID related) <br />o $4,062.86 (rent assistance for 3 residents) <br /> Lexpress subsidized passes fiscal year to date - 38 passes and 5 replacement passes for value of <br />$8,890 <br /> Gift Cards - $400 in food cards <br /> Covid-19 Financial Assistance (Takeda and FFL Contributions) <br />o No disbursements made during the period of 9/1/22 – 11/30/22 <br /> Takeda Balance: $68,165.32 <br /> FFL Balance: $25,000 <br />Request for Funds <br /> Holiday Gift Program <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded, by roll call, the Fund for Lexington Board voted 6-0 to <br />approve $2750 for the Holiday Gift Program, administered by the Human Services Department, for <br />families in need. <br /> <br /> Heating Assistance Fund <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded, by roll call, the Fund for Lexington Board voted 6-0 to <br />approve $5,000 for the Heating Assistance Program administered by the Human Services <br />Department. <br /> <br />3) Discuss Proposed Meeting Dates <br />The Board reviewed and confirmed the following meeting dates for Fund for Lexington Board: <br /> March 13, 2023 <br /> June 12, 2023 <br /> September 11, 2023 <br /> December 4, 2023 <br /> <br />4) Approval of September 19, 2022 Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />On a motion duly made and seconded, by roll call, the Fund for Lexington Board voted 5-0 with 1 <br />abstention (A. Wrigley) to approve the September 19, 2022 Meeting Minutes. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
