<br />Work Scope Narrative: dated February 7, 2023 <br />Foundation plans: dated March 6, 2023 <br /> <br />The applicant and architect explained the addition plans at 960 Mass Ave. <br />The Commission agreed to continue this hearing to next meeting with fully detailed drawings. <br />No public comments. <br /> <br />Chair Paul O’Shaughnessy opened the formal hearing for 611 Massachusetts Avenue, exterior <br />alterations (New Construction) in the East Village Historic District <br />Documents <br />Full plan set of proposed alteration: dated April 20, 2023 <br />Photographs of entire face of each building elevation visible from the public way: dated April 6, 2023 <br />Site plan: dated April 6, 2023 <br />List of Material: dated April 6, 2023 <br />Work Scope Narrative: dated April 6, 2023 <br />Owner Authorization Letter: dated April 6, 2023 <br /> <br />The applicant explained the proposed new construction plans to 611 Massachusetts Avenue. <br />The Commission approved this application with conditions <br />No public comments. <br /> <br />Robin Lovett made a motion to approve this application with conditions of the corner boards, <br />concerns of the exact material and color of the edge dressing of the driveway, fix windows alignment, <br />lighting, and landscaping materials. Lee Noel Chase seconded. Roll Call Vote: Lee Noel Chase – <br />Yes, Dan Hisel – Yes, Robert Adams – Yes, Robin Lovett – Yes, Paul O’Shaughnessy – Yes. Motion <br />carried. All in favor. <br /> <br />Motion was granted and seconded to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior changes to <br />611 Massachusetts Avenue on those conditions. Motion carried, all in favor. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CONTINUED HEARING <br />Chair Paul O’Shaughnessy opened the continued hearing for 1575 Massachusetts Avenue, exterior <br />changes (Solar Carports) in the Battle Green Historic District <br />Documents <br />Updated plans: dated May 2, 2023 <br /> <br />The applicants explained the updated plans of solar carports. The Commission agreed to continue this <br />application to next meeting. <br /> <br />Dawn McKenna, 9 Hancock St, sated that the Police Station should not be blocked, and the arches design <br />did not respect those straight lines. <br />Ted Page, 6 Fletcher Ave, William Erickson, 31 Sherman St, Sally Sharp Lehman, 6 Sherman St, and <br />Howard Cloth, 19 Sherman St, provided comments regarding the design. <br />Historic Districts Commission 4 / 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
