Lexington Bicycle Advisory Committee — 7:30 — 9:00 pm <br /> 1. Approve February 9, 2023 Meeting Minutes <br /> Motion to Approve, Seconded. <br /> 2. Bike / Ped Plan Stakeholder Meeting to be held virtually March 16th at 7:00 pm <br /> and 1st public forum to be held April 4th - 7pm at Lexington Community Center <br /> Next Thursday Bike-Ped Plan meeting - first of several Stakeholders meetings with <br /> consultant VHB. Presentation. Sheila Page put together a list of Questions that Betty <br /> sent to the BAC. Should we be strategic - and ask things that LBAC recommends? <br /> Safe Routes and LHS Students and Middle Schoolers can join. <br /> Identify difficult spots to ride in Town. <br /> TSG will send a survey - Peggy talked about it. <br /> Jim suggested that we encourage the VHB consultant to run an in-person meeting <br /> where we split in groups and come up with something then get together with the sub <br /> groups and see where there is overlap. Jim will suggest that at the Thursday 3/16/23 <br /> stakeholder meeting. <br /> 3. Safety Sign Update from FOLB/LBAC sub-committee <br /> Peggy showed 2 of the mock-ups of the signs (18" x 18"). Sub-committee worked on it. <br /> Westview to Bow Street locations identified - 32 places for 64 signs (16 on each side of <br /> the bikeway). To decide if these are too many. Peggy and Betty will present to the <br /> Select Board next Monday 3/13. Town had $10K (CPA Money). Cost at the moment is <br /> approximately $15K for both the signs and the metal posts. <br /> 4. Massachusetts Bike Legislation — Presentation by Galen Mook, MassBike <br /> Galen has been 4 1/2 years with MassBike. MassBike started in 1977. <br /> Baker signed legislation - Changes: Traffic safety legislation (effective April 2023) - <br /> Unanimous consent. <br /> Vulnerable Road User Law - in effect April 1, 2023 <br />
