TOWN WARRANT. <br /> COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS. MIDDLESEX, SS . <br /> To either of the Oonetablee of the town of Lexington in said <br /> County, Greeting: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Maseacnusetts , you <br /> are directed to notify the inhabitants of the Town of Lexing- <br /> ton; qualified to vote in elections and in town affairs to <br /> meet in the Town Hall in said Lexington, on <br /> MONDAY, THE SEVENTH DAY OF MAY, A. D. , 1923 , <br /> at seven-thirty P . M. , then and there to act on the following <br /> article® : <br /> Art. 1. To see if the Town will ( 1) appropriate and assess the <br /> sum of Five Thousand Dollars or any other sum to settle in full <br /> the two 1ietitions for assessment of damages, one of the Break= <br /> Robinson Nursery Company vs Inhabitants of Lexington, and the <br /> other of James P . Munroe and Sumner." Robinson, Trustees under the <br /> will of James S. Munroe , late of Lexington, deceased, vs Inhabit- <br /> ants of Lexington, both now pending in the Superior Court for <br /> Middlesex County, and any and all claims against the town of <br /> the parties petitioner for damages by reason of the taking of <br /> land, the construction of a sewer , or otherwise in any particular; <br /> ( 2) authorize a compromise or settlement of the said petitions <br /> and claims and appropriate and assess money therefor; ( 3) appro- <br /> priate and assess any further sums for services and espenses in <br /> connection with the defence of the litigation arising out of the <br /> said petitions; and (4) act in any manner in relation to the <br /> subject matter of the said petitions, claims , and litigation. <br />
