TOWN WARRANT <br /> Commonwealth of Massachusetts Middlesex, ss. <br /> To either of the Constables of the Town of Lexington, in said County, <br /> Greeting: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are directed <br /> to notify the inhabitants of the Town of Lexington, qualified to vote <br /> in elections and in Town affairs, to meet in their respective voting <br /> places in said Town, <br /> PRECINCT ONE, HARRINGTON SCHOOL; PRECINCT TWO, ADAMS SCHOOL; <br /> PRECINCT THREE, CARY MEMORIAL BUILDING; PRECINCT FOUR, SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL; <br /> PRECINCT FIVE, CENTRAL FIRE STATION; PRECINCT SIX, MARIA HASTINGS SCHOOL, <br /> on Wednesday, the twenty-fifth day of June, A.D. , 1969 at 7 :00 o' clock A.M. , <br /> then and there to vote Yes or No on the following questions submitted to <br /> the voters at large: <br /> Question No. 1 <br /> Question submitted to the voters at large pursuant to a petition <br /> for referendum filed with the Selectmen upon the vote adopted under <br /> Article 2 of the Warrant for the Special Town Meeting held on June 2, 1969, <br /> namely the meeting called for 8:15 P.M. on said June 2, 1969 : <br /> Shall the Town vote to approve the action of the representative town <br /> meeting whereby it was voted to appropriate $5,515,000.00, to provide for <br /> payment of $65,000.00 thereof by certain specified transfers and for <br /> payment of $5,450,000.00 thereof by the issue of bonds or notes of the Town, <br /> and to authorize the Permanent Building Committee to enter into a contract <br /> or contracts for the construction and original equipping of a new junior <br /> high school on the land on and off Marrett Road that was acquired for <br /> school, playground and other public purposes in 1965, and to supervise <br /> the work? <br /> Yes <br /> No <br /> Question No. 2 <br /> Question submitted to the voters at large pursuant to a petition for <br /> referendum filed with the Selectmen upon the vote adopted under Article 9 <br /> of the Warrant for the Special Town Meeting held on June 2, 1969, namely <br /> the meeting called for 8:00 P.M. on said June 2, 1969: <br /> Shall the Town vote to approve the action of the representative town <br /> meeting whereby it was voted to amend the General By-Laws by inserting in <br /> ARTICLE XXI thereof a new Section 2. to read as follows : <br /> "All boards, officers, committees, and other agencies of the Town, which <br /> deal on behalf of the Town in making contracts for the purchase of goods <br /> or services, or for the construction, renovation, or repair of buildings <br /> or other improvement of real estate, may make appropriate arrangements for <br /> special programs of recruitment and training with the objectiY14 of equal <br />
