Annual Warrant -3- March 2, 1942 <br /> Article 16. To see if the Town will establish and appropriate <br /> money for a separate fund under authority of Statute 1939, Ch. 46 <br /> and General Laws, Ch. 40 , sec. 5. , para. 3 for expenditures whereby <br /> employment may be afforded citizens of the Town determined to be in <br /> need thereof, or for the purchase or hire of materials, supplies <br /> and equipment and the employment of labor for the furtherance of <br /> a contribution of the Town to any Federal unemployment relief project <br /> undertaken or to be undertaken within the Town, and to meet the <br /> appropriation in whole or in part by transfer from the account of <br /> the proceeds or bonds issued under the authority of St. 1939, Ma-eters <br /> 72 and 453 for expenditures in conjunction with funds of the <br /> Federal Government, or from other available funds; or act in any <br /> other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 17. To see if the Town will vote to revoke in whole <br /> or in part the authorization it voted at its meeting of March 25 , <br /> 1940 under Article 20 of the Warrant for that meeting for the <br /> construction of certain sewers with funds procured by the issue of <br /> bonds under authority of St. 1939 , Chapters 72 and 453 , so far as <br /> the said authorization has not yet been executed by constructing <br /> the said sewers, or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 18, To see if the Town will vote to appropriate money <br /> to pay the necessary expenses of School Officers incurred outside <br /> the Commonwealth in securing information upon matters in which the <br /> Town is interested or which may tend to improve the service in the <br /> School Department. <br /> - Article 19. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a <br /> sum of money for the installation of automatic sprinklers in the <br /> Munroe School, or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 20. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate <br /> money for highway maintenance under authority of Chapter 90 of the <br /> General Laws, or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 21. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate <br /> money for the installation of fire alarm boxes, or act in any othe r <br /> manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 22. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate money <br /> for the purchase of a billing machine for the Water Department, or <br /> act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 23. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen <br /> to petition the Legislature for legislation authorizing the Town <br /> of Lexington to revoke its acceptance of the Tenement House Act <br /> for Towns which is now General Laws, Chapter 145 ; or act in any <br /> other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 24. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a <br /> sum of money to cover the expenses of printing, publishing, and <br /> distributing the proposed Building, Plumbing, and Gas Fitting By-laws, <br /> and provide for the same by direct appropriation, by transfer from <br /> available funds, or by the issue of bonds or notes of the Town; or <br /> act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 25. To see if the Town will amend its Building By-law <br /> by substituting therefor a new Building By-law, substantially in <br /> accordance with the copy on fl. e in the office of the Town Clerk <br /> and open to public inspection, printed copies of which will be mailed <br /> to the Town Meeting Members; or act in any other manner in relation <br /> thereto. <br />
