Wor�d'�ar II and his destrayer v�as pa�t of the convay tha�escort�d Presiden��.00s�vel�ta The Big
Three Mee�ing wi�h Sta.�in and Ch�rch�I�in Yalta.;ar�d
�Serea�•: he also served duri.ng th�Korean Confli�t;and
WJ:ere�s: he went on�o attend Babsan�ol�ege and graduate frorn Nartheastern University,where future
President John F.Kenned�was th.�comrnencemen�speaker at the old Boston Garde�n;and
�fi�'hereas: he rnaved to L�exing�on in 195�with�is dear wife Yolanda,wh�re they�i�r�d until her dea�h in�D�3.�
and
W��rea.s: he raised his 3 children - Ken, Martha, and Suzanne - in L.exing�o�n, al�. af whom graduated from
�exington High S�hoal befor� heading off to Villanova, Mcsun� Holyok�, and Stanehil� �ollege
respec�ively;�nd
Whereas: he spen�his whole past-military career working for the�JS Gr��rern�nent, first a�the Char��stown Navy
Sh�pyard and�h�n at th�Army Co�s of Engineers,before retiring i�1978;and
W�ereas: he kicked-off re�ir�ment b�r buildin�a house in'�'ermont with his san,Ken, and spent alrnost 34�ears
mare he��ing to do t.he books at the Lexing�on Shel1 gas s�atic�n;and
