November 8,2021 Special Town Meeting#1(2021-1),cont. <br /> Mr.Hornig stated that he hoped that they could move forward with this small step <br /> towards more diverse housing in Lexington. He also promised that more changes <br /> would be coming. <br /> 9:52 p.m. The Moderator opened voting on the Motion,as Amended. <br /> Following remote electronic vote tallying,the Moderator declared: <br /> Article 15,as Amended <br /> Fails on a vote of: <br /> Yes No Abstain <br /> 85 88 3 <br /> MOTION FAILS <br /> 9:54 p.m. The Moderator declared Special Town Meeting#1 open under Article 16. <br /> 9:55 p.m. Mr.Peters served Notice of Reconsideration on Article 15. <br /> ARTICLE 16:AMEND ZONING BYLAW RESIDENTIAL PARKING <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning Bylaw to reduce residential parking requirements to <br /> encourage additional residential units;or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> (Inserted by the Select Board at the request of the Planning Board) <br /> DESCRIPTION: This article would update the Zoning Bylaw to reduce the amount of required parking <br /> for some residential uses to decrease the cost of adding housing units and encourage use of alternative <br /> means of transportation. <br /> MOTION: <br /> Mr.Peters moves that the Zoning Bylaw,Chapter 135 of the Code of the Town of Lexington,be <br /> amended as follows(sem text is to be removed and underlined text is to be added),and <br /> further that non-substantive changes to the numbering of this bylaw be permitted to comply with the <br /> numbering format of the Code of the Town of Lexington: <br /> 4.
