<br /> Article" 15. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen
<br /> on behalf of the Town to take by eminent domain, purchase or otherwise
<br /> acquire an easement over a strip of land for sewer, drainage and water
<br /> purposes, including the right to pass and repass with vehicles or other-
<br /> wise on said easement and including also the right to make such easement
<br /> passable by grading same with fill or other means, from Bedford Street
<br /> to Brook Street bounded and described as follows :
<br /> "Lot 2.. A strip of land 20.00 feet wide and 125.00 feet long on
<br /> lot 2, said lot now or formerly owned by Ethel F. Bean, the northwesterly
<br /> side of said strip of land being the lot line between lot 3 and lot 2 on
<br /> Bedford Street, a state highway, all as shown on a plan entitled, "Plan
<br /> of Land in Lexington, Mass., Scale 1 in. = 40 ft., Oct. 7, 1949, William
<br /> M. Burns, Town Engineer" .
<br /> Lot 3. A strip of land 20.00 feet wide and 125.00 feet long on
<br /> lot 3, said lot now or formerly owned by Ethel F. Bean, the southwesterly
<br /> side of said strip of land being the lot line between lot 2 and lot 3 on,
<br /> Bedford Street, a state highway, all as shown on a plan entitled "Plan
<br /> of Land in Lexington, Mass ., Scale 1 in. = 40 ft., Oct. 7, 1949, William
<br /> M. Burns, Town Engineer" .
<br /> Beginning at a point 125.00 feet southwesterly of the southwesterly
<br /> line of Bedford Street, said point being the rear :lot corner of both lot
<br /> 2 and lot 3, thence S750 499 20"W distant 445.00 feet to an angle point,
<br /> thence 8540 439 50"W distant 347.82 feet to a point in the northeasterly
<br /> line of Brook Street and for a width of twenty (20) feet on each side of
<br /> the above described line of location, on land owned now or formerly by
<br /> Ethel F. Bean, with the exception of where it extends into land owned by
<br /> the Town of Lexington all as shown on a plan entitled "Plan of Land in
<br /> Lexington, Mass., Scale 1" = 40 ft., Oct. 7, 1949, William M. Burns,
<br /> Town Engineer."
<br /> Article 16. To see if the Town will vote to authorize and direct
<br /> the Board of Selectmen to appoint a Committee to make plans for the
<br /> celebration of the 175th Anniversary of the Battle of Lexington and to
<br /> provide a sum of money for the said celebration by a transfer from avail-
<br /> able funds or act in any other manner in relation thereto.
<br /> Article 17. "To see if the Town will vote to rescind the action taken
<br /> by the Town under Article 9 of the Warrant at the Special Town Meeting
<br /> held on October 18, 1948, under which article it 'was voted ! that the
<br /> Selectmen be and they hereby are authorized to enter into an agreement
<br /> for the acquisition, , installation and maintenance of parking meters in
<br /> locations to be determined by the Board of Selectmen, ' . or act in any
<br /> other manner in relation thereto."
<br /> (Inserted at the request of more than 100 registered voters
<br /> of the Town. )
<br /> And you are directed to serve this warrant seven days at least
<br /> before the time of said meeting as provided in the By-laws of the Town.
<br /> Hereof fail not, and make due return on this warrant, with your
<br /> doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, on or before the time of said meeting.
