ARTICLE 12 ACCESSIBILITY OF THE OLD RESERVOIR <br /> To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money to make accessibility improvements at the <br /> Old Reservoir; determine whether the money shall be provided by the tax levy,by transfer from <br /> available funds, including the Recreation Enterprise Fund, or by any combination of these <br /> methods; or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> (Inserted at the request of the Recreation Committee) <br /> FUNDS REQUESTED: $25,000 Enterprise Funds <br /> DESCRIPTION: This article requests funds to make the Old Reservoir wheelchair accessible. <br /> This request is part of a program plan prepared and approved by the Recreation Committee. <br /> ARTICLE 13 SCHOOL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM <br /> To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money to purchase computer hardware and software <br /> for the public schools; detennine whether the money shall be provided by the tax levy, by <br /> transfer from available funds, by borrowing, or by any combination of these methods; or act in <br /> any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> (Inserted by the School Committee) <br /> FUNDS REQUESTED: $800,000 Borrowing <br /> DESCRIPTION: This article requests funding to purchase computer hardware and <br /> equipment which will be distributed throughout the school system and includes computer <br /> workstations for teachers and students; shared resources such as printers, scanners, <br /> projectors, display devices; and furniture and equipment to expand the current network. <br /> ARTICLE 14 SCHOOL CAPITAL PROJECT <br /> To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money to remodel,reconstruct and make <br /> extraordinary repairs to school buildings and purchase additional equipment therefor; determine <br /> whether the money shall be provided by the tax levy,by transfer from available funds,by <br /> borrowing, or by any combination of these methods; or act in any other manner in relation <br /> thereto. <br /> (Inserted by the School Committee) <br /> FUNDS REQUESTED: Unknown at press time. Funding will be from borrowing. <br /> DESCRIPTION: The funds from this request will be used to continue the architectural and <br /> engineering design development of the Elementary Schools, purchase modular classrooms, <br /> and pay for the removal of carpets and floor tile at the Bowman School.
