2 <br /> <br />Mark Manasas reported the need for volunteers to run a VFL Committee table at the event. <br /> <br />Town-wide Survey Discussion <br />Presentations will be made regarding the Town-wide Survey on: <br />October 17 at 6:30pm – Select Board, Planning Board, School Committee Joint Meeting – Remote <br />November 4 at 9:30am – Lexington Community Center Room 243 – In-person <br />November 15 at 7:30pm – Diamond Middle School – Hybrid <br />Mark Manasas noted that revisions were made based on previous committee discussions to better reflect <br />the quantity of respondents’ answers. <br />Dan Krupka sought clarity on how the topics of affordable housing and voter participation were reflected <br />in the report. Dan Krupka also highlighted the discrepancy between the demographic composition of the <br />Town of Lexington and the levels of participation of those demographics in the survey. <br />Margaret Coppe highlighted that the survey and the report do not construe explicit recommendations <br />over Town operations and Marian Cohen confirmed. <br />Mark Manasas and Andrew Dixon noted that physical mailers and postcards were helpful in increasing <br />the response rate. <br />Dan Krupka suggested a document be formulated regarding the lessons learned from the Town-wide <br />Survey process to inform future processes. <br /> <br /> <br />The Town-wide Survey Report was accepted by the VFL Committee unanimously and will be sent to the <br />Select Board, Planning Board, and School Committee for their Joint Meeting with enough time for review. <br /> <br /> <br />Update of Subcommittee on Voter Participation in Lexington <br />Margaret Coppe noted that the Subcommittee will be presenting an interview with the Town Clerk over <br />some possible voter participation strategies on October 14. <br /> <br />Discussion of Comprehensive Plan in relation to VFL Committee Charge <br />Robert Peters noted that Volume 1 of the Comprehensive Plan has been approved by the Planning Board <br />and is being made available on the Town’s website. <br /> <br />Public Comment <br />There was no public comment. <br /> <br />Next Meeting Date: <br /> October 28th, 2022 @ 7:45am <br />Meeting adjourn: 8:48 a.m. <br /> <br />Minutes submitted by Management Fellow, James Robinson <br /> <br />
