Harding to do the work as <br />they are familiar with the Streetscape Project. <br />The Center Committee voted seven to zero to support DPW’s request for $700k <br />funding at Town Meeting to extend the sidewalks as described above. <br />Then we turned to the Economic Development Update: Dabin, Anisoptera and <br />LaDolda are closing. Buttercup Flowers is opening at 10 Muzzey Street. Another <br />liquor store (two at once!) is opening at 1666 Mass Ave. When Pigs Fly Bread is <br />coming to Mass Ave, replacing a real estate company. The landlord of the <br />Starbucks space is close to signing a lease. Sanyo and Bulpan spaces still have no <br />tenants. Clothing popup was successful. <br />Doug and Bridger from the Economic Development Advisory Committee shared <br />some concerns about economic vitality in Lexington Center. Is there a plan? What <br />is the plan? Carol Kowalski let us know that the Comprehensive Plan – <br />LexingtonNext – has been adopted by the Planning Board. Sandhya told us about <br />an assortment of community events, popups and arts events that are happening <br />in the Center this fall. Doug wants to know our thoughts for him to bring to the <br />Select Board. Eric suggested we find a way to celebrate the completion of the <br />Streetscape Project.
