Arts. <br />•MCC ARPA g rant <br />- Steve will be working on the Grant for the MCC. The only challenge will be <br />to present the finances. They want to know how much we spend per year.• <br />Discovery Day (October 8, 2022) <br />- October 8th : 10AM-3 PM : Volunteers will be present at our booth: <br />❖12-2 : Lisa <br />❖10-12 : Ashley and Anwell ( Steve will bring a tent) <br />❖12.30-3 : Elsie until 3 PM <br />Here are some ideas sug gested to make our booth more attractive to passers-by:➢ <br />We will be creating posters with photog raphs of some of our work : Utility boxes, <br />doors, and Fair y Houses. <br />➢Offer prizes and provide children with coloring supplies. <br />➢Research the possibility of making stickers, magnets… <br />➢Supply children with blank Cards to send to Hospital,elderly <br />houses <br />➢Elsie volunteered handling kids cards, blank cards, <br />crayons. <br />➢Stickers and magnets ( doors, utility boxes, haiku): <br />Shalini and Ashley. <br />•Potential projects for FY 2023 <br />A/ LAAF: Shalini K akar <br />❖LAAF is a 2 days community event ( all the arts for ms: Dance, music, <br />stand-up comedy). <br />➢The purpose is to bring the entire community and the tourists <br />together once a year. Food tr ucks could also be added if allowed to <br />offer different cuisine. Over the years this festival should build up the <br />excitement. <br />➢The first year we could start with a 3 hours event and then gradually <br />add more activities including kids ( Kite flying events for example).➢ <br />We could look for sponsors. <br />➢We would need to have dedicated members and create one <br />committee as well as sub committees. <br />B/ Dance around the World : Elizabeth Xu <br />❖This is a town celebration and we have agreed to be partners in this project. <br />Dance groups from different origins ( Korea, Japan, India, Scotland, Israel <br />…) would be perfor ming. <br />➢We have $5,000.00 for that project. <br />➢It will take place on March 18th probably in the High School Gym. <br />➢Parking, bathroom are needed for this event.
