Lexington <br />RECREATION & COMMUNITY <br />�� I' R O C RAM S <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Recreation Committee <br />FROM: Melissa Battite, Director of Recreation & Community Programs <br />DATE: August 16, 2022 <br />SUBJECT: Capital Improvement Plan — FY2024-FY2028 <br />The Town is beginning the Fiscal Year 2024 budget planning and presentation cycle. In <br />preparation, the Recreation Committee recommendations for the FY24-FY28 Capital Plan is due <br />on 9/9/22 and the FY24 Operating recommendation is due 10/9/22. <br />Below is a summary of active projects, funded projects that have not yet mobilized, and a list of <br />capital considerations for inclusion in the 5 -year plan. The considerations have been compiled <br />through direct requests from community members, recommendations of the 2020 Community <br />Needs Assessment, life cycle of the asset for health, safety, compliance and/or improved <br />technology, and staff input. The FY22 Annual Report is due 9/12/22. <br />Active and or Funded <br />Program Name: <br />1. Pine Meadows Improvements — FY22 - the Feasibility Study for drainage on holes #1 and <br />#2 underway and expects to be complete during fall of 2022. <br />2. Pine Meadows Equipment — FY22 —the equipment has been ordered and is expected to <br />arrive by end of the 2022 calendar year due to supply chain delays. <br />3. Pine Meadows Improvements — FY23 — the draft design and bid documents for <br />improvements to the 8t" and 9t" holes have been received. It is anticipated to go out to <br />bid in late August and mobilize in October 2022. <br />4. Pine Meadows — Clubhouse Drainage project has been awarded and is expected to <br />mobilize in September of 2022 with a 2 -3 -week construction time. *this is not listed in <br />capital program and is a capital project with Reserve Fund transfer funding. <br />Project Name: <br />1. Pine Meadows Clubhouse Renovation — FY24 — concept designs are expected to take <br />place late Fall/Winter 2022-2023 in preparation for the FY24 ask at the 2023 Annual <br />Town Meeting for design and engineering costs associated with this project <br />(construction is scheduled for FY26). This will be in collaboration with the Public <br />Facilities and contracted consultants. <br />Town Pool Water Heater— FY23 —the Department of Public Facilities will present the <br />findings for non-fossil fuel options during the Fall Special Town Meeting 2022. Once an <br />option is determined, the hot water heater replacement is expected to occur late <br />Winter/early Spring 2023 with no impact to the 2023 aquatics season. <br />
