Re: Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC)
On September 28, 2022, the Planning Board voted unanimously 5-0 to adopt Lexington NEXT,
Lexington's Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) was
established in December 2017 to spearhead this update and to bring a Draft Plan forward to the Planning
Board. The CPAC was intended to be in place until the Board acted to adopt the Plan. On September
28, the Board voted to adopt the Lexington NEXT Plan and absolved the CPAC of their duties. The
Planning Board greatly appreciates the hard work of the CPAC, the Consultants, many community
members, Select Board members, staff members, Committee liaisons, and all those that participated in
the process. The Board is especially grateful to the Co-Chair Sarah Felton who has remained an active
member for five years, Co-Chair Chris Herbert, and Hema Bhatt whom participated all the way through
to final adoption. All members contributed and made this planning process a success. Below is the list
of members we would like to thank and would encourage the Select Board to publicly recognize as well.
