Mr. Alan S. Fields <br />January 17, 1991 <br />Page 2 <br />(c) <br />An applicant for the Anne E. Borghesani Memorial <br />Prize shall apply (by submitting an application <br />with a written personal statement, a <br />recommendation from one Lexington High School <br />faculty member, and a recommendation from one <br />community member), to a selection committee <br />consisting of at least two members of the <br />Lexington High School Class of 1985 approved by <br />the class officers as long as there are two <br />members willing and available; at least one member <br />of the Borghesani family as long as there is a <br />member willing and available; the Lexington High <br />School faculty member serving in the capacity of <br />advisor to the senior class; and the principal, or <br />person having the responsibility of principal, of <br />Lexington High School or his or her designee. The <br />determination of the selection committee shall be <br />final. <br />(d) If in any year no qualified students, or no <br />students, apply for the Anne E. Borghesani <br />Memorial Prize, the selection committee may choose <br />a student based on advice from the Lexington -High <br />School faculty and members of the greater Boston <br />community; otherwise, the amount of the award for <br />that year shall be added to the principal of the <br />fund. <br />Very truly yours, <br />Susan B.
