I Minutes for Septer~ber 5, 2007 Present: ~~illiam Hays, Donald Wilson, David Fagle, and Gerald Howell The Board met at 14 ~~~oodland Road to view the house. The rugs have been removed from the livingroom, diningroom, and hall and new flooring has been installed by the parents. Lauren McSweeney met with the Board at the office to discuss the Fund for Lexington. The Social Services Department does the intake. If approved, it takes two weeks to get a signed check for $1000 or more. A check for less can be written sooner. She also discussed the Human Services Fund and Friends of the Council of Aging, LexHAB wants our fund to function outside ot~r group, and to be able to act quickly, It was suggested that the intake be through the Social Services Department. Guidelines for proof of need must be established. Lauren agreed to be on the Comm~.ttee. Bob Bicknell, from the Lexington Housing Partnership, came before the Board to discuss the use of CPAfunds to reduce the sale of an affordable house to first time buyers. It would be kept affordable through the deed. The July minutes were approved as read. The Board discussed buying three units at Parker Manor. The Board voted unanimously to authorize Ball Hays to execute all documents necessa for the purchase of Units ~ 7 and l07 a ~ , t Parker Manor, They also voted unanimously to authorize Bzll Hays to execute all docur~ents in connection with the purchase of mortgages from Patriot Cor~~.unity Bare. John Biggins is obtaining quotes for Dave for the drainage work necessary in the basement at 336338 Bedford Street.
