The Assessors considered the written request of Mr. Caouette, agent � for Mrs. Lulu Blake , in his letter dated Oct. 1st, 1940, and the Board voted to grant Mrs. Blake the same consideration on her 1940 Castle Estate tax bill as they did in 1939. The tax on all building valuation over 45,000 to be abated. Buildings assessed for 423,500 -15,000 48,500 Abate on this amount 1940 tax bill being for. 41143.10 273.70 abated on 1940 tax bill. The 1940 real estate abatement application received from The Prudential Insurance Co. of America on their property located at 31 Slocum Road was considered by the Assessors and they voted at this meeting to give the samE consideration on this abatement application as they did in 1939; granting the applicant an abatement on 42000 valuation but not reducing the present assessment 414,330. The Board agreed to look at all the other real estate parcels that applications had been filed on for abatements on their 1940 real estate taxes. The above mentioned seven (7) applicants were notified by being sent the State Approved Form #135 dated Oct. 3, 1940 informing them of the decision of the Assessors on the applications filed by the applicants for abatements on their 1940 real estate tax bills.
